Great Lighting At The Happy Co-Op!

This place was easy enough to find, and parking was painless. The Happy Co-Op is located in a corporate area of San Diego, so there is a giant parking lot. You could probably park sideways if you want, it's massive. After you park, use the staircase to the right, and go to the 3rd floor. When you exit the stairwell the shop is right in front of you. There is an elevator too, so this is a wheelchair accessible dispensary.

Sign up and verification is average, as far as time is concerned. The place is comfortable, and the natural lighting is great because of the huge windows on both sides of the office. It reminds me of a small law office, with a casual atmosphere. Anyway, after a few minutes we were introduced to our BT, Jason, and promptly led to the back room.

The budtender was informed that it was our first time in The Happy Co-Op, so he gave a complete run down of the shop's menu and services. He spoke quickly, and to the point. Maybe a little too quickly - much of his info was not fully retained. So, I began to peruse the pipes, view the vapes, and gander at the grinders, until I was informed that I could open up any jar and check the flowers within. Like I mentioned before, it is very naturally bright in there, especially in the afternoon, because the oversized windows are facing west. You can grab any particular strain and take it to the window, and genuinely check it the F*%$ out! I'm not gonna bore you with trying to explain the buds I saw. Opinions vary, and yours is best for you. I will say that the weed was fun to look at, and even more enjoyable to smoke. There are many indicas, sativas & hybrids that are definitely worth purchasing. So give em a look. Also there are few different types of extracts to choose from. 2 g's for $40 is a pretty fair deal. There are also plenty of clones, some not rooted yet, that appeared to be in good shape. After checking everything out for a few minutes, Jason seemed like he was getting impatient with us, so we made our choices, and got on down the road.

Wrapping up this review, I'll say the outstanding part about this shop was the lighting. It's very clean, and there is plenty of good weed to choose from. Which is always pleasing. They also have edibles, concentrates, and clones to choose from. But the lighting was magnificent! I gotta say, since this shop is a little out of my area, I won't be a frequenter of The Happy Co-Op. But, if you live near them, or you happen to be in the area, definitely check em out.

New Shop On The Blvd! The Wellness Center Collective

I got off the 15 South @ El Cajon Blvd, turned left, and spotted the little shop underneath a white vinyl banner that simply read, "Wellness Center Collective". It's directly after 41st Street, on the right hand side. Convenience was already starting off on a good note, because I parked on El Cajon Blvd. three feet from the front door, which was tinted very dark, and unlocked. Also, Wellness Center Collective is ground level, so it's easily wheelchair accessible.

Inside the waiting room was pretty small, fairly clean, and very green. As far as seating there's a couple chairs next to the reception desk, and a love seat on the back wall, which was probably too small to comfortably seat two strangers. In front of the the love seat is a small end table with various weed magazines on it. They also have a flatscreen to stare at, if you ain't feeling the weed mags. However, if its your first time you gotta sign up, so you probably won't bother with either of them too much. Paperwork was normal, except these papers ask for your home address. I suppose it's up to each patient to answer that line truthfully or otherwise. Whatever though, verification was under five minutes, and the shop officials were very laid back. On to the bud room.

Right away you can tell these guys have their act together. Inside a large room, that is freshly painted green, is an ATM on the left side, and on the right side, a long jewel counter filled with glass jars. These glass jars a filled up with nuggets. Nice frosty nuggets. You know plenty of shops, maybe even one of your favorites, has a few jars with shakey popcorn nugs at the bottom, and they're still talkin about $60. Not here. The shop owner, who also tended the bud, and handled part of my verification, told me that he personally makes sure these jars stay properly stocked. (I appreciate that in a dispensary, because I'm not so desperate where I need to pay top dollar for the bottom of the barrel). So, after checking the menu and shootin the breeze for a minute, I asked to see some concentrates. In my opinion, that's a necessary item for shops to carry and these guys had a few different choices. But to help me make a decision, he would pull out a little chunk of the hash and burn it so I could see the bubble in each one! That's Massive!!! This is some real deal budtending my friends! I hope they keep this hands on approach. Right after I chose some concentrates, we checked out his flowers! The Blueberry Kush was superb! I also loved the super frosty, Afghan Kush. It's stink was so potent and high pitched! You know I had to grab that, plus he insisted I take a sample of the Blackberry Platinum. I'm smokin that right now with their Sour Diesel Hash (compressed keif) on top, and it's not too bad at all. It's extremely frosty, kinda leafy, with lots of purple streaks. The smell isn't too special, kinda bland actually. But it smokes very nicely in a clean glass. Not super chokin, but nice and smooth. Easy to blaze, and still gets the job done. At $45 an 8th, I'd probably buy it if I were short on dough.

Let me finish this review by saying this spot is highly convenient in every way. The fast freeway access, and doorstep parking were perfect. Verification was cool, even though I disliked them inquiring about my address. The buds are very beautiful - snowy trichs, and various shades of stink are definitely in these jars. I'm sure you budsnobs can find some goods here. Not too many edibles, but they do have decent concentrates at average prices. Plus they'll prove how much it bubbles and melts for you, that's the factor that sold me. No other shop has done that yet in my experience. As a first timer I was offered various deal combinations - $10 off here, or $20 there, as well as a fat ass purple sample. I will definitely be back, and I recommend you check it out for yourself. Clones coming soon...
